Danielle Cunningham

Hi there!

I'm Danielle Cunningham (she/her), a digital creative with over five years of experience. I received my M.A. in Digital Media Strategy in 2022 and my B.A. in Music Performance in 2020, both from Bridgewater College. I have a versatile skill set, including video production, audio editing, graphic design, web design, email marketing, and live stream production. I love learning new skills, so I'm almost always teaching myself a new program!

I live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with my partner and our three cats - Duncan, Duchess, and Link. In my free time, I enjoy singing, baking, video games, Dungeons & Dragons, and making custom resin dice sets.

Massanutten Presbyterian Church

Since 2021, I have been working with Massanutten Presbyterian Church in Penn Laird, Virginia as their Digital Media Communication Coordinator. This role largely focuses on live stream production, website management, graphic design, email newsletter distribution, and video production - though I am known to fill in wherever needed, from tech support to front office management.

MPC Legacy Funds

Upon the early completion of MPC's 2021-2024 Debt Elimination Campaign - a stewardship campaign targeted towards paying off the church's remaining $1 million mortgage balance - the Oak Tree Capital Reserve and Acorn Endowment Funds were launched. These funds are intended to ensure the church's financial stability, both now and in the future. In launching this fund, I provided graphic, print, and web design support, as well as communication strategy.

The Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind

During my master's program at Bridgewater College, my cohort and I worked with The Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind to increase awareness of their no-cost educational and residential services for deaf and blind students throughout Virginia. As part of a five-person team, I researched, planned, and implemented a comprehensive digital media package between August 2021 and May 2022.

In that time, we:

Redesigned their website and implemented ADA-compliant features (viewable here via Internet Archive)
Filmed ASL welcome videos from school leadership
Filmed an overview of their Independent Living Apartments
Launched two week-long social media campaigns on Facebook
Created a newsletter with editable templates for future editions
Designed resource kits for parents of current students, parents of prospective students, and special education professionals
